Cogby

Privacy policy

Updated 17 September 2026

Cogby is software you install on your own computer or server. There is no Cogby account and no Cogby server that holds your work. Your files, chats, tasks and calendar cache live on the machine you run it on. This page says what leaves that machine, and why.

Google Calendar

When you connect Google Calendar, Cogby asks Google for permission to read and change events on your calendars (the calendar.events scope), and for your email address so the Settings page can show which account is connected.

What Cogby does with it

Where it is stored

The access token Google issues and a cache of your events are files on your own machine. Nothing is copied to us. We run no server that could receive it.

Who else sees it

Google, when Cogby calls the Calendar API. And the AI provider you connected (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot), only when you ask something that needs your calendar, under that provider's own terms. Cogby never sends calendar data anywhere else, never sells it, and never uses it for advertising.

Disconnecting

Settings โ†’ Connections โ†’ Google โ†’ Disconnect revokes the token at Google and deletes it from your machine. You can also remove Cogby from your account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Cogby's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This website

cogby.ai stores nothing about you unless you use the join form. That form keeps your email address, the option you picked and the note you typed, so we can contact you about access. It goes to a Cloudflare store and to a Google Form we read. Ask and we delete it.

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, page) for a short period to run the service. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees the font request.

No analytics, no tracking cookies, no advertising.
